Short answer: Your FLX light is brand new. USPS is required to inspect packages containing rechargeable batteries during transit, which may result in opened packaging and cut zip ties upon delivery.
What happened to my package? USPS inspects packages that contain lithium/rechargeable batteries. During this inspection, the package may be opened, zip ties cut, the product removed for examination, and then reinserted before delivery. This is standard carrier procedure and does not mean the product is used, defective, or previously returned.
We confirmed with our shipping department that all units leave our facility fully sealed with zip ties intact. If yours arrived with cut zip ties, this happened during carrier inspection — not at our warehouse.
What signs might I notice?
- Outer box shows damage or dents
- Inner packaging appears open or disturbed
- Zip ties are cut or missing
- Light looks like it has been handled
These are all normal outcomes of a USPS battery inspection. The product inside has not been used.
Am I covered if something goes wrong later? Yes. When a customer contacts us about this issue, our team logs a note on the order record documenting the condition at delivery. This ensures you have a clear record on file and will be fully covered under our standard warranty if any issues arise in the future.
