Overview
Your lights are equipped with a dual-mode output, allowing you to switch between two brightness levels depending on your needs:
- 100% Full Power (High Mode) – Delivers maximum visibility and beam distance for challenging off-road environments.
- 20% Dimmed Mode (Low Mode) – Provides softer, controlled lighting ideal for group rides, camp setups, or on-road driving.
Tip: If your light model supports SAE driving shields, pairing them with Low Mode can make your setup street-legal in many areas — perfect for transitioning from trails to city streets.
Benefits
- Versatility – Easily adapt your lighting for open trails, close-quarters work, or driving in populated areas.
- Safety & Courtesy – Minimize glare and avoid blinding others during group rides or near pedestrians.
- Power Management – Low Mode uses less power, helping conserve your battery when full output isn’t necessary.
When to Use Each Mode
| Mode | Ideal For | Why It Matters |
| High (100%) | Trail driving, open desert, night wheeling | Maximum light for spotting terrain and obstacles far ahead. |
| Low (20%) | Camp setup, close-proximity work, on-road use | Reduces glare, improves comfort, and extends battery life. |
How to Activate the Hi/Low Function
Your activation method depends on your wiring setup:
Using a 3-Position Switch
- Up = High Mode (100%)
- Middle = Off
- Down = Low Mode (20%)
Using a Dual Output Harness
- One trigger wire controls High Mode
- One trigger wire controls Low Mode
- Can be connected to separate switches or integrated into a control panel.
Pro Tips
- Always use Low Mode when driving on-road or when others are nearby.
- Pair with SAE shields (where available) for compliant on-road use.
- Test your switch setup before your trip to ensure smooth transitions between modes.
